In today’s industrial and commercial power distribution environments, electrical cabinet space continues to shrink while the number of circuits requiring monitoring grows. To address this challenge, the Roc131+GW30 multi-circuit measurement solution offers a compact, flexible, and easy-to-deploy alternative to traditional metering methods.
Traditional multi-circuit measurement approaches often require one meter per circuit, consuming significant DIN rail space. They also involve complex wiring and high installation costs, making them unsuitable for compact distribution panels, precision production lines, and distributed energy monitoring applications.
The Roc131+GW30 multi-circuit measurement solution combines high-precision energy acquisition with flexible data aggregation. It enables users to monitor multiple critical circuits—even in space-constrained electrical enclosures.
Solution Architecture: Designed for Synergy and Efficiency
This solution consists of two core components: the Roc131 Multi-Circuit Measurement Module and the GW30 Data Acquisition Gateway.
GW30: As a front-end data acquisition device, the GW30 collects raw current from each circuit and transmits the acquired data to the Roc131 for further processing. The GW30 focuses on accurate signal acquisition and reliable data transmission.
Roc131: A multi-circuit measurement module that receives data from the GW30, performs energy calculations and data processing, and uploads the results via Modbus-RTU to SCADA, PLCs, or cloud platforms.
Three Core Advantages
1. Compact Footprint, Multiple Circuits
Traditional metering solutions typically require one meter per circuit, consuming significant DIN rail space. The Roc131 features a modular, expandable design. Each module is a 1P unit that monitors a single circuit. Depending on the number of circuits to be measured, users can freely select and combine the required number of modules. This flexible architecture minimizes space occupation inside electrical panels while adapting to various application needs. Whether it’s rotary table motors, main line power, lighting, or auxiliary circuits, all can be monitored by combining the appropriate number of Roc131 modules.

2. Tool-Free Installation, Simplified Deployment
The Roc131 works with split-core current transformers or flexible Rogowski coils, which can be directly clamped onto existing cables without disconnecting circuits or removing busbars. This is especially advantageous for retrofit projects on live electrical systems, significantly reducing downtime, lowering installation risks, and minimizing labor costs.

3. Centralized Data, Flexible Communication
The GW30 acts as a front-end data acquisition device, collecting raw current from each circuit and transmitting the data to the Roc131 for processing. The Roc131, equipped with built-in Ethernet and RS485 ports, handles energy calculations and data processing, and uploads the results via Modbus-RTU to SCADA, PLCs, or cloud platforms. For extended connectivity, optional 4G or Wi-Fi modules can be added to enable remote cloud-based management.
Typical Applications
Production Line Power Monitoring
On automated production lines, energy data from different workstations (such as rotary tables, lifts, and main drives) is critical for optimizing cycle times and calculating operational costs. The GW30 collects current signals from key circuits such as W28/W29/W30 Rotary Table Drives, W30 Main Line Drive, and Unloading Lift Drive, while the Roc131, installed compactly inside control cabinets, captures voltage signals from these circuits, processes the combined data, and uploads the results via Modbus-RTU to MES or energy management systems for line-level energy visualization.

Distribution Panel Retrofits
For existing distribution panels where additional circuit-level metering is required, traditional approaches often face space constraints and wiring difficulties. The Roc131+GW30 solution, featuring compact form factors and clamp-on current sensors, can be easily added to existing panels without altering the original layout, enabling new multi-circuit monitoring capabilities.
Commercial Building Sub-Metering
In commercial complexes, different loads such as lighting, HVAC, elevators, and general outlets require separate measurement. Roc131 modules can be flexibly deployed in floor-level distribution rooms, with the Roc131 processing the data and uploading it to building automation systems, supporting granular energy management.

Quality and Reliability
Both the Roc131 and GW30 are designed to meet industrial-grade standards and carry CE certification, ensuring reliable operation in complex electromagnetic environments. They feature wide operating temperature ranges, making them suitable for applications ranging from factory floors to outdoor electrical enclosures.
